(I was pondering Korean albums I listen to every week, if not every month, and I figured, why not share with you all.
Before we get into it, I must confess, dear reader, that I am heavily invested and in love with R&B and Hip-Hop to a certain extent. So, it is predominantly for this reason that these albums and these artists are compelling to me. In part, because my dear beloved, we cannot discount the fact that KAI has long been my ultimate bias in K-pop. Baekhyun, on the other hand, is of course, bloody beautiful and talented but in my world, his artistry comes before everything else. I am fully and completely putty in his hands when it comes to K-Music. VILLAIN is second and KAI is third. In that order.
Although, special bloody mention to JAEHYUN of NCT 127 fame and NCT Dojaejung. His voice was meant for R&B and Jazz! SMLab, the project, has been consistently treating us to his great, silky, husky, and honey tones as he covered old music greats. I shall forever be grateful.
So, dear reader, having said what I have said, here are the seven K-pop albums I will always have on loop. Not in order, because the frequency by which I play depends on the mood.
- Kai - KAI
- VILLAIN 빌런 - Bank Robber
- Baekhyun - BAEKHYUN (Japanese Album)
- Baekhyun - Delight
- Baekhyun - City Lights
- NCT DoJaeJung - Perfume
- Kai - Rover
So, tell me, dear reader, what are your top 7 Korean albums on loop?
